Often clergy wives and female clergy are the sounding board, the listener, the one who prays for another, the one who gently asks questions to help someone look to Jesus. Yet, many clergy wives and female clergy do not have this ‘person’ to go to for themselves. “I don’t have anyone that I can talk to about this,” is a common statement.
Several years ago I joined the Call2Disciple team to offer Soul Care to clergy wives and female clergy. This ministry provides a safe place for you to unload what burdens your heart, to have a sounding board, and to have someone walk beside you confidentially, prayerfully, and steadfastly pointing you to Jesus.
Conversations cover a wide-range of topics like the challenges of marriage, family life, other relationships, ministry, or a desire for discipleship.
