A new job, relationship, season … An ongoing heartache or health struggle … A relationship challenge or self-image issues …
How do you approach these?
“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight , declares the Lord.'” (Jeremiah 9.23-24)
The more we understand and know God, our approach will be with him. We learn and experience his traits. Written and spoken truths that journey through our mind become heart-held, secured by God.
Power is one such trait.
The more we know God’s power, we’ll cry out for Him.
The more we cry out for His power, the less we’ll attempt to do things on our own – and with our own strength.
Our faith grows to believe that God can change any circumstance….And that when he doesn’t, He has good reason.
That He can move mountains in our lives.
Whether we helped build them… or He allowed them for us to experience His power, as we pray.
Healing. Protection. Breakthrough. Reconciliation. Provision. Peace.
All-powerful God,
Draw me near to passionately pursue getting to know You. I need Your power to lay down whatever is delaying me from this. Thank you that Your love is patient and ever-present. Amen.
